Experience

Clinic owner and counsellor with over a decade of experience working exclusively with trauma survivors. Experience working in women’s shelters, supporting complex childhood and adult trauma, as well as first responders.

My approach to counselling

If you are struggling with trauma triggers, PTSD, feelings of anxiety, hopelessness, depression, or anger, it can be hard to remember that change is possible. I believe that taking the first step to reach out for help can be a powerful way to remind ourselves that we don’t have to remain feeling stuck and that we have the power to create changes.

Using evidence-based interventions (EMDR, IFS, and CBT), I provide clients with the tools and strategies that can help them reach their goals and recognize their ability for both change and growth.

I walk alongside my clients as they discover the root of what is holding them back (negative thinking, trauma, grief/loss, depression, anxiety) and work with them towards healing, self-compassion and change.

I recognize the importance of creating a safe space for individuals to share their stories, struggles, and victories.

Experience

Background in labour and delivery nursing, with an understanding of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum challenges.

My approach to counselling

I am passionate about supporting individuals and couples through life’s challenges, including periods of increased stress, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. Whether you’re navigating relationship dynamics, adjusting to changes in your personal life, or managing emotional stress, I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space to explore and address these challenges.

I work collaboratively with clients to identify patterns of thought, emotion, and behaviour that may be contributing to distress, and I utilize evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients develop healthier coping strategies.

My background as a labour and delivery nurse has given me a unique perspective on the emotional and physical challenges that come with major life transitions, especially the perinatal and postpartum periods.

My nursing experience has deepened my understanding of the complexities surrounding childbirth, parenthood, and the adjustment to life after baby, both physically and emotionally.

Whether you’re coping with stress, anxiety, relationship dynamics, or adjusting to new roles, I’m here to support you with evidence-based tools and a holistic approach to your well-being.
